Saturday 19th 2nd day-Breakfast, Aquarium

Saturday 19th
Did get a good night sleep, no big signs of time difference affecting us.  Coffiee is very different here, strong and sweet.  Will buy some today at the grocery store.

Went out to breakfast, noonish, to a small little restaurant over by PX’s house.  Really great food,  Indian.  All types, flat pancakes filled with egg, some with onion, some fried with veggies inside that were really yummy, potato, shrimp, all kinds mixed together like a stir fry.  Then we drove over to PX’s house for her to pick up a cookbook and some of her Mom’s awesome homemade cookies.(biscuits over her) some filled with fruit others plain.  Then on to the aquarium on Sentora Island.

What a place.  I have never seen so many beautiful fish, not like the aquariums at home.  Took so many  pictures. had Ate dinner in front of the fish tank and watched all the different fish swimming around.  Breathtaking sight.

Saw the Singapore mascot?? Merlion and we took the ride to the mouth and head of it and looked over the city and park.  We arrived just in time for the fireworks.  Couldn’t have been more beautiful if we had planned it. Everything is so clean it is amazing.  On the way home we wanted to stop at a grocery store for coffee and soda.  The supermarket is in the mall, a huge mall, and you pay to park.  Walk quite a ways to the store and cannot believe the price of stuff.  Large Can of Folgers, only brand I recognized, $32.00 we pay 8 or 9.  After you check out you take your cart through the mall and down the elevator to the parking garage.  You pay a $1 to use a cart to shop.  We were in the mall just under and hour and it cost $3.50 to park.  Everywhere you go you pay to park, even in your own apartment.  It is still so much fun being here and don’t regret coming.  It is one awesome experience.  Wait till you see the picture of the bathroom???? Now that is different.

Till we post tomorrows adventure.  Ashley is setting up a website so we can post pictures and everyone can see the daily happenings without being bothered if you don’t want to see our trip.  Love to all, especially to my Mom who is hopefully recovering well from her fractured shoulder, and my sisters who are taking care of her.
