January 26th Saturday at the Dive Resort

Awoke to a beautiful day on the coast around 6:30.  What a spot, so different from what we see at home.  The water was so green and clear.  The fishing boats getting ready to take divers out, Claude and I sat and watched until Ashley, PX and Keith came down for breakfast.

Had breakfast on the outdoor dining room overlooking the water.  Breakfast buffet was rice, an every meal dish, eggs, fresh fruit, toast, can't remember the meats will check with Ashley.  Then we watched the divers get ready for their two morning dives.  Takes quite a bit of organizing to get ready.  All the gear is loaded by the workers, and then each diver has to get all his gear on.

 They left around 10a.m.

It was fun watching them get into the boats, which were called            . Claude and I just rested and read our books watching the activities in the water.  Keith's friend Dave was diving also and his Mom,Jenny, was traveling with him.  She was from Appomatox,Virginia.   Yes it included a small nap, even for her.

Then went for a quick cool off in the water, too cold for Claude.  The crew came back for lunch around 12:30 ate again.  Keith told us that we were going to go out with them on the next dive and it would be just the the five of us.
The professional divers here with their very stylish outfits and shoes.  The coast is so rocky you have to have some type of water shoe on.

On the way out this sailing vessel had a dive team on it.  Looked like you could live on it and traveling all over

Keith just went over

It was so nice to be able to see what they are doing and how much they enjoy it.  Listening to them talk about all the different fish, corals and they even went to a sunken barge which draws a lot of different species.  After first dive in the afternoon we went to a small island area and they rested and we walked the beach.  Did get wet there and felt good.

We found these flip flops on the beach all line up, no matches though

Grampy going snorkeling
We could see fish while snorkeling right here on the beach.
This is the village across from the island where we were resting before next dive

The coast is all rocky and lots of shells so you have to wear dive gear boots on your feet. PX had them on and still stepped on something that dug into her foot.  A lot of trash comes out on the coastline.  Very underdeveloped areas and again the boat captain just stood there on this boat and relieved himself while everyone was diving.  Just as they were finishing their last dive it started to rain and made everyone cold on the way back to the resort.  The girls were shivering, they said the water was very cold, about 74 degrees.  Finished diving and headed back to lodge.

I think Keith was a little tired

Had a great time but all were very cold and tired
You can see PX's lips chattering

Grampy has a wonderful time watching all the activities on the Boat

The view of the village next to the lodge we were staying at.  Roofs all different colors, so pretty as sun was setting.

Our dining room that overlooks the water

After dinner, which I cannot remember what it was, we were going to play cards but we were all very tired.  Went to bed early, had to be up and ready by 9:00 for the drive back to Manila with a few stops along the way.
Our room no frills

Remember the saying the best is yet to come, well it is.
